Welcome to what is perhaps the most awkward page of all pages on this website, wherein one talks of one’s self in a covert attempt to convince you of one’s character and worth (whilst pretending not to). I’ve come to learn that I can only ever effectively do this by presenting a ‘caricature’ of one’s self. A somewhat ridiculous avatar of amplified authenticity, wherein we get to play with the tensions of authority & approachability, irony & sincerity, naïveté & knowingness, and so on. Thus you’ll see—under the guise of Dr Jason Fox (a caricature I embody better than anyone)—I can get away with so much more.

Who is Dr Jason Fox?

They say he plays dice with Loki (badly), that Hermes once gave him a high-five (crisp), that he does coffee with Lady Fortuna on a semi-regular basis, and that Odin’s ravens both think his beard is ‘not bad’. Rumour has it he once sneaked into the Ivory Towers of several arch-wizards, stealing their spell books—only to scatter the magical pages amidst the wind. They call him a wizard, a rogue, and some whisper that he is secretly a field kitsune with three, maybe four tails, and that his skyship—The Clevernessis actually an allusion.

Actually no one says any of that. Nonetheless:

Dr Jason Fox is a motivational speaker,* bestselling author, leadership advisor & wizard-rogue of ace repute.

* For those who think. And a delightful enigma for those who do not.

Oft sought after for his fresh perspectives, contemporary philosophies and deep expertise in motivation design, Dr Fox shows forward-thinking leaders around the world how to unlock new progress and pioneer deeper into uncharted territory.

His clients include Fortune 500 companies around the world including Microsoft, PepsiCo, HP, McDonald’s, Cisco and Salesforce, to other multinationals such as Toyota, Beam Suntory, Vodafone, Honda, Sony, Tableau, Gartner, Johnson & Johnson, Xero, HP, Bupa, Red Cross, Bulgari, Pandora, Arup, KPMG, The World Tourism Forum and The International Institute of Research.*

* As well as many financial institutions, universities, telcos, government agencies, insurance companies, software developers, global associations, intergovernmental forums, and so on.

Jason is the bestselling author of The Game Changer and How to Lead a Quest: a handbook for pioneering leaders. His research has been featured in the likes of Smart Company, Huffington Post, BRW and The Financial Review. And, while thoughtfully inept at social media or marketing, his monthly ‘museletter’ is read by more than 10,000 people around the world.

In addition to serving as a leadership adviser, Dr Fox is also an in-demand keynote speaker who works particularly well with sceptical audiences who have ‘seen it all before’. In 2016 he was awarded Keynote Speaker of the Year.

When not liberating the world from poorly designed work, Jason enjoys partaking in extreme sports such as reading, sun-avoidance and coffee snobbery. He lives with an illustrator-veterinarian and a cat called π in an old chocolate factory in Melbourne, Australia.

Oh look, here’s a now old and overly-sincere video of me. So broody! Faux deep.

And here’s an interview from an event I spoke at in Helsinki in 2014.
This was before How to Lead a Questback when The Game Changer was a thing.

I honestly have no idea.

Dr Jason Fox has no idea. But at least he knows this.

Well... that’s enough self-indulgence for one day

If you’d like to learn more about the evolving, sometimes clever & oft-times flawed character that is Dr Jason Fox, you may like to subscribe to my museletter.

Actually: you’re less likely to learn more about me, and more likely to learn more about you.
But that’s okay—they’re one and the same.
